Former PICTURE Singer Recording New AVIGAL Album

January 11, 2009

Singer Shmoulik Avigal (THE RODS, JACK STARR, PICTURE) is recording a new AVIGAL album titled "Gates of Hell" with Dick Reome on guitar, Carl Canedy (THE RODS) on drums and Mark Denson on bass.

Commented Shmoulik: "After the basic recordings were done, we decided to add a second guitar player, Rich Ackerman, to the band to accommodate the sound of the album to the live gigs. I am very happy with the results so far. Happy days are here again, and it's a lot of fun."

He continued, "We are currently in the mixing stage and the album will be done probably at the end of this month. I can say sincerely that this is the best album I ever wrote, recorded and my best singing ever, that is for sure. I am the producer of the album and I am enjoying that side of the project."
